We get the most amazing sunsets here. Here are a few from this week-just spectacular.

Morning walks

It is much darker in the morning now...here we are walking as the sun is starting to rise.

My birthday

Climbing Flat Top

Rory and I decided to climb flat top before the snow came...it was a lovely hike and the views of Anchorage were amazing.

The snow is here!

The snow has arrived and we have had over 12 inches already...more than we've seen since we've lived here. Hope that doesn't mean we're in for a harsh winter.

Alaska Sound Celebration

I am a member of Alaska Sound Celebration which is an acapella chorus. This year we made it to the International competition, and had to travel to Houston in October.

We had a great time and finished 22nd out of 35 choruses from all over the world...not bad for a small chorus from Alaska.

Visa Run to Vancouver

We had to go to Vancouver to renew our American visas in August. We drove up to Whistler and really enjoyed the mountain town.

Our Camping Adventure-July

We went camping with a few families over the summer and had a great time.

Lots of laughs, good food, outdoor fun and beautiful scenery....and it only rained when we were taking the tent down!

Trip to the Museum

Rory and his friend Arthur went to the museum to see the Mammoth exhibition...they had a great day!

Hunting season is over!

This photo was taken on the last weekend of the hunting season- avid hunters getting their last kill in before the season end. This photo shows the antlers of a bull moose sitting on the back of the truck as it drove down the highway. Another only in Alaska photo!

The snow is coming!

I cannot believe that it is time for the snow to come again....where has the year gone?

This will be our third winter here in Alaska , so are now seasoned locals!

New Schools

Andrew started at South High School this year and will be in 9th grade.

Rory started at Goldenview Middle School and will be in 7th grade.

Andrew's Football

Andrew played football for the South Anchorage High School C team this year.....I never thought my son would end up playing American Football!

He played in defense and wore number 70 shirt.

They have to wear their 'football blazers' to school on Fridays-very smart!

Hemali's leaving party

We had a lovely evening out for Hemali at the Captain Cook Hotel.She is leaving for Mumbai and while we are happy she is going home, we are sad to see her leave Anchorage.

Nana & Granda in Anchorage

Nana & Granda enjoyed visiting Anchorage . We were lucky with the weather and managed to sit on the deck a few times enjoying the views and sun.

We went to Girdwood and enjoyed the scenery....we even saw a black bear!!
